Pc trouble and dirty keystrokes

To my horror this week a nameless company that shares initials with Harry Potter did a bios update.  That being said my computer is a corpse.  It died without even a fight.  Their bios update razed the motherboard.  Their tech support started the fleecing at $50 for a diagnostic, $99 to extend my warranty , $109 to replace my hard drive, $120 to replace my mother board, $104 to replace my operating system. and it just piled on the price from there. The heretical PC must be destroyed.

What could be saved was.  The rest of the scrap heap was offered to the dark chaotic gods as tribute to the dark ages, where it made a great catapult projectile.

I realize there are computers on  the college campus, and some at the library, but they both smell bad.   I mean they let anyone use them... think of all the lose skin falling in between the keys.  Yuck!  Even the ability to barrow one from a friend isn't that appealing (who wants to see the creepy shit college kids have on their Mac's?).  But as funny as it sounds; something about writing on someone else's pc is  so impersonal and  I much rather write on my own.

But the story has a happy ending.  A computer was built by hand by me and a trusted friend Asian Mike.  Not to be confused with white mike, black mike, or big mike (which is also a black but like 8 feet tall).   It has the power supply of  pirates, two terabytes of hard drive space, 8 gigs of ram and a 1gig video card.  If this thing wasn't so damn sweet I would put it in an art gallery and call it a masterpiece.   Its faster than a punch line, and more awesome than midgets in tutus doing swan lake while skydiving.  Not that I have ever seen the latter but wouldn't that be a sight.  Anyway the new beast works perfectly and thanks to some ultra nerd love it looks like something out of the movie Tron.

Anyway, I'll get back to witting about Colorado art this weekend.  I have Oscar parties and Ballets to attend.    Have a good night and remember  back up your computer's data often.  Or the computer companies will steal your soul or at least your wallet.
